Hon. Dr. Joseph Mogendi Birundu is seeking the mandate of the people of Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Kisii County, in the 2027 General Election.
"Ncherende Teiyo" — Ready to Serve.

Hon. Dr. Joseph Mogendi Birundu is a son of Nyaribari Chache seeking to represent his people in Parliament with a platform built on service, accountability and grassroots development.
Running on the Jubilee Party ticket under the banner "New Vision, Real Change," Dr. Birundu has spent recent months meeting residents across the constituency's villages, trading centres and market days — listening first, and building a people-driven agenda from those conversations.
His campaign is grounded in one commitment: that leadership in Nyaribari Chache should mean showing up, staying accountable, and delivering results the community can see.
Five pillars from Dr. Birundu's Evidence-to-Impact development framework — public resources following documented need, with measurable results.
Transparent, needs-based NG-CDF bursaries, better school infrastructure and partnerships with TVET institutions and employers, so education connects to real jobs and enterprise.
Partnerships for higher farm productivity, value addition, post-harvest management, market access and agricultural technology — aligned with county agriculture departments.
Link young people to technical training, mentorship, procurement opportunities, enterprise finance and digital skills — measured by real jobs and businesses, not just trainings held.
Publish project priorities, budgets, progress and completion. Coordinate constituency plans with county and national programmes to cut duplication and deliver value for money.
Women, youth, persons with disabilities and underserved households helping set priorities — resources allocated by demonstrated need and opportunity, not political affiliation.
Over 17 years across academia, public-health research, nutrition, Public policy, enterprise development and institutional governance — evidence-based leadership for Nyaribari Chache.
From listening to delivery — a disciplined start grounded in evidence and public accountability.
Inclusive consultations across all six wards, review development and budget records, and identify priority problems directly with residents.
Publish priority issues, name the institutions legally responsible, agree measurable indicators, and build partnerships for eligible programmes and investment.
Begin lawful parliamentary and constituency processes, set up a public progress-tracker, and report actions taken, constraints and next steps.

My vision for Nyaribari Chache is a constituency where leadership is measured not by the number of promises made, but by the problems solved and the opportunities created.
My academic training has taught me to question assumptions, examine evidence and evaluate results. My experience in universities and research institutions has strengthened my commitment to knowledge and innovation. My public-service experience has exposed me to the realities of institutional governance, enterprise financing and public accountability.
I draw inspiration from Belgium's rural development experience, where local initiative and cooperation help communities unlock their potential, and from the Marshall Plan's lesson that coordinated investment and strong institutions can accelerate recovery and development.
I want to apply these lessons in a way that reflects our own circumstances: better opportunities for our children, stronger agricultural livelihoods, marketable skills for our youth, support for enterprise development and accountable use of public resources.
Reclaiming a people's dignity means building a constituency where opportunity is not determined by political connections, where public money is accounted for, where young people can build productive futures, and where every community has a voice in development.
My commitment is to bring knowledge into leadership, evidence into decision-making, integrity into public service and measurable results into development.
